Executive Summary
A new bugfix release, trackpad gestures on Wayland, and a new recorder option? Read on for a look at development news and the Krita-Artists forum's featured artwork from last month. Krita 5.3.4/6.0.4 Released Krita 5.3.4/6.0.4 was released, including some fixes from this last month. The Recorder should no longer interrupt tools when writing a frame ( bug ; change by Carsten Hartenfels), and trying to export a timelapse with missing frames will rename the frame files to remove any gaps ( change by Luna Lovecraft).
Open Silicon & Gate-Level Hardware Inspection
From a silicon and hardware engineering viewpoint: - **Interface Neutrality:** Mitigates dependency on proprietary BSPs, empowering open toolchains to address hardware directly. - **Supply Chain Verification:** Schematics and open pinouts allow deterministic audits against silicon errata. - **Lifecycle Decoupling:** Decouples physical hardware utility from commercial vendor end-of-life obsolescence.
Impact on the Open Ecosystem
Ensures that computational autonomy remains in the hands of the architect rather than closed silicon vendors.
