## Summary
Omarchy 4.5-RC1 introduces initial AArch64 support targeting two laptop platforms: Qualcomm Snapdragon X (tested on Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x and ThinkPad T14s) and NVIDIA N1X (tested on Dell XPS 16 and ASUS ProArt P14). The distribution also plans to merge its Apple Silicon fork, though upstream Linux support for newer M-series chips remains incomplete. ISO images are available for both architectures on GitHub.

## What hardware Omarchy 4.5-RC1 supports
- **Snapdragon X**: Tested on Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x and Lenovo ThinkPad T14s; requires pulling firmware from Windows partition like other Linux distributions
- **NVIDIA N1X**: Tested on Dell XPS 16 and ASUS ProArt P14
- **Apple Silicon**: Separate Omarchy Mac fork planned for merger into main project, pending upstream Linux maturity for newer M-series hardware
- **Architecture**: First Omarchy release with dual x86_64 and AArch64 ISOs

## Why it matters
Omarchy's expansion to AArch64 reflects growing ARM laptop market maturity in Linux, though Snapdragon firmware dependencies on Windows partitions remain a barrier for users seeking fully open installations.
