Football Manager 27 free preview runs October 29-November 3 on PC
Football Manager 27 will be playable for free for five days across all major PC platforms ahead of its full release, following the poorly received FM26.
Summary
Sports Interactive announced a free preview period for Football Manager 27 running from October 29 to November 3, 2026. The preview will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass. The move follows Football Manager 26, which became the lowest-rated entry in the series on Metacritic after a troubled development cycle that skipped FM25 and resulted in a glitchy release with missing features.
Preview availability and timing
- Free preview runs October 29 through November 3, 2026 (five days)
- Available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass
- Preview ends exactly one week before the full game's launch
- FM26 was built on Unity after skipping FM25, resulting in a longer development cycle
Why it matters
The cross-platform preview approach ensures Linux and Steam Deck users can evaluate the game alongside Windows players, particularly relevant given Football Manager's traditionally strong Linux support.
