NVIDIA and Hugging Face launch SimReady Central, 2,000+ open 3D assets for robotics

SimReady Central Library hosts more than 2,000 simulation-ready 3D assets on Hugging Face, each prepared with collision geometry, mass, friction, and other physics properties needed for simulation workflows. The library targets developers building robotics training environments and AI factory digital twins. Equipment manufacturers including FANUC, Universal Robots, Vertiv, and LG Electronics can publish validated assets to reach simulation builders.

What makes an asset SimReady

• SimReady assets are OpenUSD files with additional metadata for physical simulation, not just 3D geometry
• Required properties vary by profile: collision geometry and physical properties for physics runtimes; joint structure and limits for articulated equipment; semantic labels for synthetic data generation; materials and sensor attributes for rendering and sensor simulation
• SimReady Foundation provides specifications, profiles, and validation tools that define requirements per use case
• OEMs use a submission skill to validate assets against profiles, package them, and submit to the library
